Damaraland is a remote and rugged area of communal land in Namibia with no National Park status where SRT works tirelessly alongside local communities to patrol and protect the last surviving, free-roaming black Rhino population on earth today. It is a very challenging time for conservation because budgets are hugely compromised due to cancelled fundraising events and a lack of tourism.
We mostly need extra funding for field rations and the running costs for vehicles since we need to step up more to make sure our rhinos are safe during this time. Some works have closed down and people are struggling to stay alive.
We aim to raise as much money as possible with this event, to help the cause and to support these shy, nervous and beautiful Rhinos so that they can continue to thrive and survive in their natural home.
Please help us to help the Rhinos and SRT by donating to our JustGiving page.
Thank you all so much, we hope you can get involved and share the message to generate as much support as possible.
